Venus from Tunisia
Petrified by hand
of unknown Tunisian master,
who will never be Rodin,
more beautiful than the lazy Titian Aphrodite and
sassy ladies of liberty in New York,
curvy by thoughts
naked by look,
Venus from Tunisia,
smarter than Willendorf’s one,
carries a jug of water on her back.
If you love, bear the burden alone,
choose wisely to whom you give water,
don’t spill too much to stay wet,
and if you poured water into another’s vessel,
take care of its capacity.
Wash dirty ones,
but left the water for yourself.
Let it flow from the pitcher.
