LIVADA IZ SNA
Nema, majko, onih cvjetova
Ispred naše kuće više;
Vrijeme je nekih drugih svjetova,
U kojima i trava sve teže diše.
K’o grobna tišina, nijema,
Oko kuće naše pustoš se svila;
Sotona zla u njoj drijema,
Za nove pohode snaži krila…
Al’ ne brini! U mislima mojim
Boje su vesele, mirisne i žive;
U djeliću našeg raja s tobom stojim,
Nizama cvjetnim oblake tjeram sive.
U očima je našim raskošni ples leptirâ,
Radost života, oko nas je i u nama;
S tobom, srce mi glazbu ljubavi svira,
Cvjetnu i nevinu, livadu iz sna – mama, mila!
