Kafka’s smile
In that city a god lived
of ivory and guilds’ visages
were reflected in the inlays.
We raced all day long
across the roofs ond golden bridges
to capture St. Vitus smile
and the shadow of the l’horlogue.
I shought of you when
a falcon spread its wing
and you wanted the exact
same one brought from
the Zoo,
from the underground
where we hid from the rain.
You called my name
night after night
while my hotel room
was sleeped in the smell
of blueberries and
cold fancets.
One Prague fall
Kafka and I sent
you candied kisses.
